The course is aimed at artists wishing to enrich their own practice with screen-printing. Participants will learn how to create a set of three or more coloured art prints and also how to experiment with screen printing methods. We will be using the photographic process and exposing art work created on true grain film. The course costs £75 and will include all equipment. Recent News

So this Christmas is over and its time to get on with the new year. Stereograph were at The Kitchen cafe in Bristol for one day over the xmas period facilitating drop in workshop making two colour screen print cards and wrapping paper with designs created by the young people already involved with the station youth project. A great day was had and we are looking forwards to working with The Station and creative youth network in the coming year.

Other recent news is that the lovely people at the Hong Kong Open Printshop were keen to put some of the prints created at St Bernadette school in their youth impression show in Hong Kong this year. It was great to receive the photo of their lovely portraits in the youth print exhibition.

Looking forwards to more good workshops in the new year !

Happy New Year

Screen Printed posters at Fairfield High School

Stereograph recently ran a multicoloured poster printing workshop for Fairfield High School during the Autumn half term. Participants from year seven to year eleven took part in designing multi-layered screen printed posters about a great memory or something really important to them. They learnt the entire process from initial design and influence, through the image preparation and finally learning how to create and print photo exposed screen prints. The course ran for three days and everyone took home at least five successful prints. These prints can go towards achieving higher grades at school and some of them will become part of the G.C.S.E course work. It was a great few days and everyone was really good at printing at the end of the workshop.

Tyntesfield Workshop

The recent workshop a Tyntesfield Manor was a free workshop which introduced and led the national trust youth panel through the process and art of screen printing. Using photographs and hand drawn imagery we created a large 6' by 3' banner about one of the house's more recent occupants, Doreen Norman. We used images of the house, decorative elements such as wallpaper and drawings made from accounts of her life to frame a large portrait in the centre of the banner. It is to be displayed in the house and is the first part of the 100 stories project at the site which aims to bring out the history of the house through youth workshops. It was a great day and a real achievement to get such a large piece done in the space of one day. Well done to every one who came along!
